Richard Engelbrecht is a semi-retired dairy farmer residing in Madison, NY. He “milked” for 45 years. At the height of his business, he had 240 cows, 400 cattle and farmed 1200 acres of land. He has been a member of the Holstein Friesian and Ayrshire Associations for 60 years. Always active in his community, Mr. Engelbrecht currently serves as President of the Madison-Oneida BOCES Board of Education, of which he has been a member for 52 years. He is a recipient of the Everett R. Dyer Award for Distinguished School Board Service from the NYS School Boards Association.
