Dahlia Sheehan-Yassin to Attend Cornell University’s Leadership Development Academy
The New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health (NYCAMH) congratulates Dahlia Sheehan-Yassin on her acceptance to Lead New York (LeadNY), Cornell University’s Leadership Development Academy.

LeadNY is designed for professionals in the food, agriculture, and natural resource sectors. The curriculum focuses on leadership skill development, enhanced self-awareness, civic engagement, cultivating leadership networks, and building a greater understanding of issues facing our food system and rural communities.
“I am excited to have been accepted into Class 21 and to be joining the vibrant community of LeadNY participants,” says Sheehan-Yassin. “This unique two-year program will strengthen my professional connections and expand my knowledge of New York’s agriculture. I look forward to incorporating lessons from LeadNY into my work at NYCAMH with the John May Farm Safety Fund.”
As Outreach Coordinator for the John May Farm Safety Fund at NYCAMH, Sheehan-Yassin has direct connections to and impact on farms throughout New York. Her work creates opportunities for farmers and farm owners to prioritize workers’ well-being by providing financial assistance for safety upgrades and repairs.
She joins the 21st class of LeadNY alongside agricultural industry professionals of all ages and backgrounds from every corner of the state.
