In March, NYCAMH initiated a pilot program to include the provision of dental and vision screenings during on-farm health visits. In addition to existing services like vital measurements, immunizations, and general health exams, 29 participating workers across two local farms had access to dental consultations and eye exams. These screenings were provided at no cost and in the farmworkers’ preferred languages.

We are grateful to the local experts who graciously donated their time and professional services to make these clinics possible! Thank you to:

The Health Screenings for Farmworkers in the South Central New York Region pilot project aims to provide screening services for 100 farmworkers in the area, connect participants to follow-up care, and provide financial assistance for associated costs. The program is made possible by the Community Foundation for South Central New York.
