Emma Fanuele | Columbia University
I’m Emma! I am currently pursuing my MPH in Epidemiology with a certificate in Applied Biostatistics and Data Science at Columbia University. I completed my undergraduate degree at McGill University in Environmental Health and Statistics, though I am originally from the Boston area. This summer, I am working with Dr. Roome on two projects: one on controlling tick populations on farms and another on determining structural factors that impact health and safety of farmers and loggers.
Shaivi Gupta | Middlebury College
I’m Shaivi, a student at Middlebury College, in Vermont. I was raised in Cooperstown, but have lived in Schenectady for five years now. I’m a psychology major, and just completed my first year. Here at HealthWorks, I have been loving the firefighter clinics I have been on, and have learned how to take vitals, do respirator fit tests and more.
Lara Havandjian | Columbia University
Lara is currently pursuing her MPH in Epidemiology with a certificate in Social Determinants of Health. Her eclectic research background has included everything from forensics and primate hormones to footwear, biomechanics, and spine health. She is working with the NYCAMH and Northeast Center research team on fishing projects, including updating the IFISH Conference website.
Sania Sheifuddin | Columbia University
My name is Sania, I’m from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Public Health from Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health in Epidemiology with a certificate in Applied Biostatistics and Public Health Data Science. I am mainly working on projects pertaining to Dairy Farmers Mental health, this includes the project titled ‘Side by Side’ to help support dairy farmers during periods of crisis and transition.
