2026 Theme: Roadway Safety Starts in Your Lane

NYCAMH’s annual Farm Safety Art Contest is back! Learn more about this year’s theme and how to participate below. Submissions will open on September 21 with a deadline of October 30. Winners will be announced in December. We always look forward to seeing the creative ways students bring these important safety messages to life!

Prompt:
In our rural communities, we often share the road with agricultural equipment as well as bicycles, recreational and animal-drawn vehicles, pedestrians, and more. Create a one-page art design promoting safety on rural roadways. Designs can be print or digital.

Classroom Add-on:
NYCAMH offers in-person or virtual classroom presentations centered around the theme to promote safety and inspire creativity. Reach out to info@nycamh.org or 607-547-6023 to invite one of our educators to present.

How to Participate:
This contest is open to NY students in grades 5 through 12. Contest opens September 21, 2026. Deadline to submit projects is October 30, 2026. Submissions must include artwork and a completed entry form.

Print Design Criteria
  • 8.5×11 inch size paper
  • Open to use of any materials including crayon, pencils, markers, paint, etc.
  • Mail both artwork and entry form to:

Digital Design Criteria
  • New for 2026: Submissions using AI-generated content will not be eligible.
  • Ideal Sizes: 1920×1080 px (16:9) or 8.5×11”
  • Save designs as PDF, PNG, or JPEG file type
  • Cite image sources in a separate document (URLs are sufficient)
  • Use any software you would like to create designs (PowerPoint, Paint, Canva, Adobe applications, etc.)
  • Submit artwork, citations, and entry form to info@nycamh.org.
